The Comenius 2.1 project INCLUDEME focusses on the shaped declaration of intend written in the project application in February 2005:

The project aims at developing the mobility of trainee teachers within Europe. During three-week placements, trainee teachers from six participating countries, in co-operation with mentors, will acquire a basis for maximising quality in schools and education and an opportunity to take advantage of teacher training in different European countries.

The “one-to-one” exchange enables comparison of teaching methods in theory and in practice in different disciplines within Europe, helping the trainee teachers to reflect their own teaching competently. The project’s importance lies in acknowledging and adjusting to the teacher training standards in Europe as well as building partnerships between European schools and pupils. Visits to European political institutions and meetings with politicians increase awareness of EU membership and develop co-operation between European countries.  The project will be accompanied by evaluation of experiences gained.  The project also aims to enhance foreign language skills at teaching level.

The results will be made available for teacher training institutions, participating schools and prospective teachers, providing others with the opportunity to participate in the project or to initiate a new project themselves.

For further information, an internet domain as well as homepages of the participating institutions will available with guidelines for preparation, organisation, support and evaluation.
